Mounds View City Council June 44, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />1 Housing/Code/Fire Inspector Schoeman discussed the resources that were available to the tenants <br />2 that live within these rental properties. Further discussion ensued regarding the safety hazards at <br />3 these units. He noted he has direct contact with several of the tenants from these buildings and <br />4 explained they were aware of the safety issues and the lack of response from the property owner <br />5 to these issues. <br />6 <br />7 B. Public Hearing: Resolution 9429, Approving a Chicken -Keeping License <br />8 Request from Melinda Christensen at 2085 Terrace Drive. <br />9 <br />10 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve a chicken -keeping license for <br />1 1 Melinda Christensen for the property at 2085 Terrace Drive. He reported all necessary paperwork <br />12 has been submitted to the City and staff recommended approval of this request. It was noted the <br />13 applicant was requesting to have eight chickens. <br />14 <br />15 Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:42 p.m. <br />16 <br />17 Hearing no public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:42 p.m. <br />18 <br />19 MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Bergeron. Resolution 9430, Approving the Renewal of Mounds View Business Licenses <br />Non -Liquor). <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the renewal of the Mounds View <br />Business Licenses (non -liquor). He reviewed the list of businesses noting five had issues with <br />their fire inspections and several had utility delinquencies. He reported the business licenses <br />would not be issued until these matters had been resolved. He commented further on the <br />businesses seeking licensure and recommended approval. <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked if Little Caesar's had a problem renewing its business <br />license each year. City Administrator Zikmund stated it was his understanding something <br />happened at a corporate level just this year. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause.
