■ Rocks, sediment, and debris should be removed from the southwestern 12" inlet pipe and the
outfall protected with properly designed riprap and filter.
a Sediment and debris near the eastern 24" RCP inlet pipe should be removed and the outfall
protected with properly designed riprap and filter.
a Vegetation growth at the eastern 24" inlet pipe should be monitored and removed as
necessary to ensure flow into the pond is not restricted.
a Vegetation growth at the western CMP inlet pipe should be monitored to ensure that flow is
net restricted.
• Vegetation growth near the outlet structure should be monitored to ensure that flow is not
restricted.
a Vegetation growth near the eastern 24" RCP inlet pipe and in the channel between the inlet
pipe and the pond should be monitored to ensure that flow is not restricted.
a Pieces of concrete oil the shoreline near the southwestern 18" inlet pipe should be removed so
that they do not fall into the pond and block flow from the inlet. One piece is already inside
the flared end section.
a Garbage should be removed Bonn the pond.
• Tine fallen tree near tine central. northern 18" inlet pipe should be monitored to ensure that it
is not causing debris build-up and blocking flow.
a The northeastern 18" inlet pipe should be monitored. A tree is growing on top of the flared
end section and should be removed.
a The wooden skimmer at the nutlet structure is beginning to decay. Repair is not yet critical,
but the skimmer should be monitored to ensure that it remains functional and does not block
the outlet pipe.
« A broken Hlooden railing at the edge of the trail near the eastern 24" inlet pipe should be
repaired. While this does not affect the pond, it is a hazard to pedestrians :tear the pond.
4.3 Permitting Requirements
As discussed in Section 3.2, the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act (WCA) requires replacement
for excavation in Type 3, 4, or 5 wetlands, but provides an exemption for maintenance of previously
constructed wetland stormwater treatment ponds. If sediment is to be removed but to no greater
extent than recreating the basin's originally constructed configuration, LGU coordination and a WCA
permit will be required. If more extensive excavation to expand the basin beyond its original
configuration is performed, then wetland replacement will be required. This requirement would
P Mtpk 1 MN 62 '36,IIN2 Silver vww Pored Assessment WnrW ile, kcptro tiil.er Vi"k Pond Acessmem-l'mll.docx 20
