RESOLUTION 9447 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZE THE SEALING OF THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY SHOP FLOOR <br />WHEREAS, The City Council approved building of the New Public Works Facility in 2016 with <br />construction being completed in 2017; and, <br />WHEREAS, as part of the construction and in being green, a limited floor sealer was used, this <br />along with routine maintenance of the floor, sweeping and scrubbing would potentially protect the floor <br />from damage; and, <br />WHEREAS, Public Works noticed that areas of the floor finish or sealer are no longer present <br />and pitting of the concrete is starting to occur. Staff also notice that the joint caulking was starting to <br />separate and expand between the concrete slab joints; and, <br />WHEREAS, Staff met with several vendors and contractors in order to understand what options <br />there were to reseal the floor and recommendations for sealing the shop floor and received quotes: <br />Swedebro - $18,000.00 <br />Revival - $18,775.00 <br />WHEREAS, the 2021, Special project fund there is $25,000.00 budgeted for seal coating the <br />Public Works Floor. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the proposal for sealing the shop floor at the Public Works Facility at a cost of $18,000.00 <br />with Swedebro. <br />2. Funding would be from the Special project fund for $25,000.00 from account 480-4160-7050. <br />Adopted this 26t" day of July, 2021 <br />Carol A.
