Mounds View City Council April 23, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Nine <br />. what Staff had been doing, as it does not seem that <br />much has been done. He added this delay creates an <br />undue hardship for him as he most likely will lose <br />an existing opportunity for the sale of his property, <br />with another delay in the moratorium. <br />Mayor Hankner stated she shares his concern, as the <br />Council wanted to be more aggressive, and she agrees <br />it should have been done by now. <br />Attorney Karney advised the statute allows a one <br />year moratorium, with up to 18 months extension. <br />Mayor Hankner noted the ordinance does allow the <br />Council to do things in that area while the moratorium <br />is on, and they have done so. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley stated final typing of <br />the draft, with a presentation to the Planning <br />Commission, and adoption by the Planning Commission <br />and Council, must be done. He added he feels the <br />typing could be done in 60 days. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley noted City Planner Hren <br />has completed one year of employment with the City, <br />• and he recommended her salary be increased $1,000, <br />per her employment agreement with the City. <br />Motion/Second: Paone/Quick to approve a $1,000 <br />per year salary increase for City Planner Hren, <br />retroactive to April 17, 1990, for a new annual <br />salary of $32,500. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. McCarty questioned how firm the plans are <br />for a sidewalk on the west side of Long Lake <br />Road, as noted in the City newsletter. <br />Mr. Minetor explained no official position has <br />been taken, and this is only in the planning <br />stages, with nothing adopted. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley noted it is consistent <br />with where the sidewalk is further down Long <br />Lake Road, and also in taking the library into <br />consideration. <br />l9.
