Mounds View City Council January 22, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Ten <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Blanchard to award the purchase <br />of the dump boxes to Crysteel for $4,566.00 each to <br />be charged to 100-4360-703 and 100-4360-122, and award <br />the purchase of the utility box to Truck Utilities for <br />$4,880.00 to be charged to 730-4121-703. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mr. Ulrich reviewed the testing done and bids received 9. Consideration <br />for the purchase of a street sweeper. He also reviewed of Bids for <br />how the spec was written. He noted the street sweep- Street Sweeper <br />ings are recycled into asphalt, and he also reviewed <br />the optional extended warranty. <br />Motion/Second: Paone/Quick to approved the purchase <br />with MacQueen Equipment for an Elgin Series P street <br />sweeper, plus extended warranty option for $71,121.00 <br />to be charged to 420-4121-703, storm water management <br />fund, or 100-4270-703, street department capital fund <br />if the money is transferred to that account. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. Frits questioned the value of the extended <br />• warranty, stating he did not feel it was needed. <br />Attorney Karey had no report. <br />Ms. Hren reported Mr. Bayerkohler has gone through <br />the court process and was found guilty of violating <br />the sign code, and was given a $100 fine, which was <br />continued for one year. He will not have to pay the <br />fine, if there are no other violations. <br />Attorney Karney advised if there is another violation, <br />he could face jail time. There will be some time <br />allowed for removal of the existing post. <br />Mr. Ulrich reported compliments had been received <br />on the ice conditions at Groveland Park. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />• Councilmember Blanchard noted a letter had been <br />received in the Council packets from the Edgewood <br />Emergency Food Shelf, and she would like Staff to <br />Motion Carried <br />10.
