~. <br />Mounds View City Council January 22, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eleven <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />• look into the possibility of keeping a drop-off <br />point at City Hall year round, not just at holiday <br />time. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley stated he was in favor of <br />that but would need to set up a formal relationship <br />with a food shelf, and have them come to pick up the <br />goods. <br />Councilmember Quick requested the matter be researched <br />to determine if a policy is needed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paone had no report. <br />Councilmember Wuori had no report. <br />Mayor Hankner reported she had attended the charter <br />dinner of the Edmond/Ol 1 hoff VFW Post and i t was wel 1 <br />attended. <br />Mayor Hankner reported she had met with the mayors <br />of Arden Hills and Shoreview and Chair of the School <br />Board on January 13, and they have scheduled a joint <br />• meeting on February 22 to discuss community education <br />needs, and update on planning for community education <br />programs. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Wuori to set a special <br />meeting of the Council on February 22 at 7 PM at the <br />Edgewood Community Center, to be a joint meeting <br />between Mounds View, Arden Hi11s, Shoreview, New <br />Brighton and the School Board. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion/Second: .Quick/Paone to approve the certifi- <br />cate of occupancy for T.C.B.Y. (The Country's Best <br />Yogurt), 2563-1/2 Highway 10, Mounds View Square. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. Frits asked where the three large piles of dirt <br />came from that are at the compost site at Ardan <br />Avenue. <br />Mr. Ultrich explained most of it is excavatings from <br />the holding pond at the business park, and it was <br />given to the City free. It is being stock piled <br />• for future use in the City. There have been problems <br />in the past getting fill when it was needed for <br />City parks and other areas, and the City has had to <br />pay for it.
