,,.Mounds View City Council June 25, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Seven <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />• Motion/Second: Blanchard/Wuori to approve Resolution <br />No. 3045, establishing a policy on the recognition of <br />donations to the City, and waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />Ms. Hren explained the first reading of the ordinance 12. Second Reading <br />approving a text amendment was done at the last and Adoption <br />regular meeting, and she reviewed the proposed of Ordinance <br />amendment. No. 487 <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Hankner to have the second <br />reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 487, amending <br />the municipal code of Mounds View by amending <br />Chapter 40 entitled "Zoning", and waive the reading. <br />Councilmember Blanchard - aye <br />Councilmember Wuori - aye <br />Councilmember Quick - aye <br />Mayor Hankner - aye <br />City Attorney Karney had no report. <br />• <br />Ms. Hren reported Amoco has requested release of <br />the $30,000 bond held on their station at 2800 <br />Highway 10. She noted the project was completed <br />some. time ago, with all work finished. <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Quick to release the <br />$30,000 bond for the Amoco station at 2800 Highway <br />10. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Ms. Hren updated the Council on the status of <br />the grant proposal submitted to the Met Council <br />for recycling bins. The indications at this time <br />look favorable and a final decision is expected <br />by July 12. <br />Mayor Hankner stated they need to make sure the <br />residents are made aware of this. <br />Alice Frits~ 8072 Long Lake Road, stated her <br />hauler has told her to put everything in paper <br />bags. <br />Motion Carried <br />13. Report of <br />Attorney <br />14. Report of <br />Staff Members <br />Motion Carried <br />• There was a discussion on the containers and <br />their use. They will be publicized once. the <br />grant is received. <br />
