Consideration <br />designated as the City's agent for first response of Designation <br />for a hazardous materials spill. of Agent for <br />First Response <br />Mayor Hankner noted the Council had discussed the <br />matter at their last agenda session. <br />Motion/Second: Paone/Wuori to approve Resolution <br />No. 4010, designating the Spring Lake Park, Blaine, <br />Mounds View Fire Department as an agent of the City <br />of Mounds View for responding to hazardous material <br />spills. <br />4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Hankner read Resolution No. 4010. <br />Mr. Fagerstrom thanked the Council for their efforts <br />in helping to get the recent referendum passed. He <br />reported they are already meeting with architects <br />and looking into equipment which will be purchased. <br />Mr. Minetor reviewed the request of the MTC for a 9. Consideration <br />• route change to provide service to Wildwood Manor. of Request of <br />MTC to Change <br />Mayor Hankner reported she had recently received a Bus Route <br />call, asking what Mounds View's needs are for trans- <br />portation, as consideration is being given to <br />expanding routes. She also noted the issue had <br />been brought up by senior citizens during Capitol <br />for a Day, in August. <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Wuori to concur with the <br />route change proposed by the Metropolitan Transit <br />Commission. <br />4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Park and Recreation Director Saarion reported six 10. Consideration <br />bids had been received for the printing of the 1991 of Bids for <br />City newsletter, and Staff would recommend the low 1991 City <br />bid of Nystrom Publishing, in the amount of $13,904. Newsletter <br />She noted the price remained constant with either <br />option, glossy which was not recyclable, or using <br />totally recycleable materials. <br />The Council agreed it was important to encourage <br />recycling. <br />• <br />
