Mounds View City Council November 13, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />• Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to approve the consent <br />agenda, as presented, and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />4 ayes O nays <br />Public Works Foreman Ulrich reviewed the requirement <br />for the City to remove the oldest underground fuel <br />tank by 1991, as well as Staff's recommendation to <br />remove an unleaded fuel tank at the same time, as it <br />must be updated or removed by 1992. He reviewed the <br />bids received, recommending the low bid of Ceres. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Blanchard to award the bid to <br />Ceres for the removal of both two thousand gallon <br />underground fuel storage tanks for $2,387.00 with <br />ten percent contingency of $238.00, for a total of <br />$2,625.00 to be charged to account 100-4260-703. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Hankner closed the regular meeting and opened <br />• the first public hearing at 7:09 PM. <br />Planning Technician Harrington reviewed the request <br />of Everest Development, representing Tyson Trucking, <br />for a wetland alteration permit for Phase TII of the <br />proposed Tyson Trucking warehouse expansion located <br />at 4825 Mustang Circle. The proposal was reviewed <br />by the Council at an agenda session, at which time <br />Staff was directed to contact several agencies for <br />their comments or concerns regarding the proposal. <br />Tim Nelson, of Everest Development, reviewed. the <br />plans for Phase TII of the expansion. He explained <br />the concern raised by the DNR was a misconception <br />based on erroneous labeling on the plan. It has <br />been clarified verbally with the DNR and no permit <br />is required by them. Mr. Nelson explained the Army <br />Corps of Engineers has not reviewed the plan yet, <br />as they are waiting ,for the City to approve it <br />before they spend. the time and fees necessary with <br />the Army Corps of Engineers. <br />Ron Peterson, of Westwood Engineering, reviewed the <br />proposal as it relates to the City ordinance. <br />Ken Simons,. of the Ramsey County Park .and Rec Depart, <br />• ment, stated they are concerned with the loss of trees <br />and would suggest the Council consider requiring <br />replacement plantings, which would be beneficial to <br />the public who will sozq~eday be using the park. <br />5.
