Mounds View City Council Page Two <br />�egular Meeting June 14, 1993 <br />RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR <br />There were no residents requests or comments pertaining to issues not on the <br />agenda presented at this meeting. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />There were no public hearings scheduled for this meeting. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, read the Consent Agenda. <br />Mayor Linke asked if there were any items the Council desired removed from <br />the Consent Agenda. There were no items removed. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Qujick to adopt the Consent Agenda as <br />presented. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS: <br />�. Mayor Linke read a Proclamation and Presented the Same to David <br />Grothe, Principal of Irondale High School in Honor of Irondale <br />High SchooZ Being Awarded as a"Blue Ribbon School of Excellence" <br />and Declared the Week of June 21, 1993 as "Irondale High School Week" <br />in the City of Mounds View <br />b. Mayor Linke read <br />"Staff Member of <br />the Same to Jan <br />Friday, June 18, <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br />a Proclamation Congratulating Jan Quick on Receiving <br />the Year" Award at Irondale High school and Presented <br />Quick. Mayor Linke, in this Proclamation, declared <br />1993, as "Jan Quick Day" in the City of Mounds View. <br />A. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Repart No. 93-527C <br />regarding the appointment of Gina Hennen as a student representative to <br />the Environmental Quality Commission. The provisions of the Council <br />allows for an appointment of up to two student representatives per City <br />Commission. These representatives are not given full voting <br />privileges and are not considered members for purposes of determining a <br />quorum. These representatives are allowed full rights of discussion <br />and may cast an advisory vote. Muriel Brainerd, a member of the <br />Commission, actively went out and recruited a student representative. <br />This term for Ms. Hennen would expire October 10, 1994 as it is her 18 <br />birthday. <br />• MOTIONjSECOND: Wuori/Quick to Approve Appointment of Gina Hennen as <br />a Student Representative to the Environmental Quality Commission. <br />
