This item has gone through the <br />Planning Commission and will now come before the City Council. <br />MOTIONjSECOND: Wuori/Quick to adopt the Consent Agenda as <br />presented. <br />VOTE• <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br />A. <br />. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Michele Severson, Administrative Secreta�y, reviewed Staff Report <br />No. 93-542C regarding Resolution No. 4377 Ratifying the Appointment <br />of Election Judges for the Special Election to be Conducted on <br />August 24, 1993. Severson stated that the City Council accepted <br />Pat Rickaby's resignation at their June 14, 1993 meeting and declared <br />August 24, 1993 as the date for a Special Municipal Election. Severson <br />further stated that the City must hire election judges to conduct the <br />election. Patricia Coffey, Kathy MacRunnels, Alice Frits and Amy <br />Hodges have been selected to conduct the Special Municipal Election <br />upon Council approval. Kathy MacRunnels would be the Chair person and <br />Alice Frits would be the Co-Chair with Amy Hodges and Patricia Coffey <br />being election judges. The General Chair and Co-Chair would receive <br />$5.50 per hour and the judges would receive $5.00 per hour. <br />Severson reviewed the procedures for new voter reg�stration. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Rickaby/Wuori to adopt Resolution No. 4377 Ratifying <br />the Appointment of Election Judges for the Special Election to be <br />Conducted on August 24, 1993. <br />VOTE• <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />B. Mike Ulrich, Public Works Supervisor, reviewed Staff Report No. <br />93-534C regarding the purchase of new computer, laser printer and <br />software. Ulrich stated that due to the volume of records, <br />applications and reports, staff is requesting the City Council's <br />authorization to purchase a more efficient computer. Ulrich stated <br />that staff had received two bids. The bids were from PC express in the <br />amount of $2,249 for a computer and $1,449.for a printer and from PC <br />Tailors in the amount of $2,295 for a computer and this company does <br />not sell laser printers. Updated software would be purchased at this <br />same time Ulrich stated that staff would use some of the funds from the <br />1993 5treets, Capital Equipment Fund. $12,000 was budget for a <br />changeable messaqe sign and $4,000 was budgeted for a patching trailer <br />out the water and sewer budgets. Ulrich reported that the need for <br />these items is not foreseen at this time. <br />. <br />
