Mounds View City Council <br />.Regular Meeting <br />Page Two <br />March 8, 1993 <br />SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS: <br />There was no special order of business scheduled for this meeting. <br />RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: <br />There were no resident requests or comments made at this meeting. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />There were no public hearings scheduled for this meeting. <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, read the Consent Agenda. <br />Mayor Linke asked if there were any items the Council desired removed from <br />the Consent Agenda. The Council removed no items. <br />MOTION) SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to adopt the Consent Agenda as <br />presented. <br />• VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br />A. Carla Asleson, Recycling Coordinator/Code Enforcement Officer, <br />reviewed Staff Report No. 93-494C regarding the appointments <br />of the Environmental Quality Commission members (Resolution No. <br />4351). Asleson stated that the ordinance establishing this commission <br />would go into effect on March 10, 1993 and, in order to have its <br />membership established for its regular meeting on March 16, it is <br />necessary to formally appoint the former EQTF members to <br />commission status at this time. Term lengths have been staggered <br />so that two member's terms expire at the end of each year as required <br />by Chapter 33 of the Mounds View Municipal Code. <br />Asleson further stated that Mr. Gerald Kluthe, a member of the <br />Environmental Quality Task Force, does not desire to serve on the <br />Commission. M. Joan Warren's Commission term would expire on 12/31/94 <br />taking the place of Mr. Kluthe's end of term date. There are two <br />vacancies on the Commission whose terms would expire 12/31/95. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Quick to Adopt Resolution No. 4351 <br />Appointing Environmental Quality Commission Members As Amended <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />• <br />
