This project would involve the <br />construction of an interceptor sewer from County Road J to the <br />interceptor sewer in Mounds View in Quincy Avenue. <br />Orduno stated that the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission. will <br />publish notices in the New Brighton Bulletin and will conduct the <br />actual hearing. <br />MOTION/SECOND; Quick/Wuori to Set Public Hearing for Proposed <br />Blaine Interceptor Metropolitan Waste Control Commission Project <br />for April 12, 1993 for 7:05 p.m. <br />Councilmember Quick stated for clarification purposes for the general <br />public that an interceptor is a large sewer. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked who owned the interceptor. <br />Orduno stated that the interceptor was owned by the Metropolitan <br />Waste Control Commission. <br />• Councilmember Blanchard asked where the water coming into the City from <br />Blaine was metered. <br />Mike Ulrich, Public Works Supervisor, explained that there is a <br />metering station just north of Hillview and Quincy and another <br />on County Road I between Greenfield and Jackson. <br />Councilmember Blanchard expressed concern that Mounds View will be <br />paying for the water coming into the City of Mounds View from the <br />City of Blaine. <br />Orduno explained that statement is true, but that Mounds <br />View would benefit by this interceptor as it would serve <br />the Golf Course site. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />REPORTS• <br />Report of Councilmembers: <br />a.
