Simon Variance Request) for Discussion
VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried
Paul Harrington, City Planner, reported that at the February 8, 1993
Council Meeting consideration of the appeal of Planning Case No. 358-
92 was tabled indefinitely pending the applicant's receipt of easement
area for the expansion of his off-street parking area at 2840 Highway
10. Harrington further reported that the applicant has contacted City
staff and reported that an easement agreement has been reached.
Harrington recommended that this item be referred back to the Planning
Commission for a recommendation considering that there would be a new
layout for parking.
Councilmember Blanchard expressed some concern in the fact that to
recommend this back to the Planning Commission would delay any action
on the applicant's part for at least two months.
Mayor Linke shared Councilmember Blanchard's concern, but felt that
it would be hard to make a decision on this item without having
Planning Commission's approval as .there is a new layout for parking.
. Harrington reported, in order to expedite the process, he would hand
carry the item to the .two Planning Commission Meetings scheduled for
this month.
This item was referred back to the Planning Commission via concurrence
of all Councilmembers.
G.
