Orduno stated that these golf courses <br />were designed by the architect the City selected and they were <br />beautiful and very playable courses. Orduno further reported that <br />one of the courses had a large wetland area that had not been <br />changed but enhanced through the addition of trees and plantings. <br />The Task Force agreed that the right architect had been selected <br />after touring these courses. <br />Report of Staff• <br />a. Michele Severson, Administration Secretary/Deputy Clerk, reported <br />that Magel Carnival Midways, Inc., had conducted a carnival on <br />the Mounds View Square site from May 18 - May 23, 1993 and there <br />had been no reported incidences or problems with the carnival. <br />b. Mary Saarion, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, reported <br />that on May 15 the City's new disc golf course was initiated. <br />Saarion invited everyone to try out this new game. Saarion <br />described the different discs used and how the game is played., <br />Saarion stated that this disc golf course is located at Silver <br />View Park and it is a sport everyone can take part in. Saarion <br />also reported that a tape will be played for the month of June <br />• on Cable TV regarding the disc golf game. Rules and score cards <br />can be picked up at City Hall. This course was paid for by <br />Park Dedication Funds.
