The
Council has asked the Lions if they
would partially fund the festival or
if they would like to take over the
festival this year. The Lions have
not responded to date.
Alice Frits questioned why the festival
had not been scheduled and was informed
by Mayor Linke that it was a budget cut
item. She also questioned if the
appreciation dinner was still on the schedule
for this year. She also stated she felt the
festival was for family and the appreciation
dinner was for employee recognition. At
this time she felt family was of utmost
importance and the money should be allotted
for the festival rather than the dinner.
Mayor Linke stated he will check with the
Lions club as to what their intentions may
be regarding the festival.
Mr. Tim Nelson from Everest Development, Ltd. 15.
