~unds View City Council <br />gular Meeting <br />Page 2 <br />March 25, 1991 <br />RESIDENT'S RE UESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: None <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Linke requested that Item 2 on the Consent Agenda, Resolution No. 4060 Amending <br />Resolution No. 4025 Establishing Salaries and Benefits Effective January 1, 1991, be removed from <br />the Consent Agenda and placed on the regular agenda for discussion. Mayor Linke noted that the <br />salaries of the employees were not listed on the resolution. City Administrator Orduno explained <br />that two part-time employees, Lynnette Morgan and Marv Johnson, were inadvertently omitted from <br />the January 1, 1991, salary resolution and therefore the resolution needed to be revised. Attorney <br />Karney was asked if the proposed resolution needed to include a list of salaries. Mr. Karney <br />indicated that it did, but it could be attached as a schedule to the resolution. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Wuori to adopt Resolution No. 4060 Establishing <br />Salaries and Benefits Effective January 1, 1991. <br />S ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />• MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Blanchard to adopt the Consent Agenda as amended. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />1. Consideration of Resolution No. 4064 Providing for Public Sale of $2,875,000 General <br />Obligation Water Revenue Bonds, Series 1991A <br />City Administrator Orduno introduced Jim O'Meara of Briggs and Morgan and Ron <br />Langness of Springstead, Inc. <br />Mr. Langness discussed the verification of the bids and how the bonds would be paid <br />back based on a Study conducted by Voto, Tautges, and Redpath. He also indicated <br />that the funds available would be adequate to fund the specified projects. He stated <br />that the funds would be ready in May and that the interest would be less than 7 percent <br />based on a 22-year bond. <br />Public Works Director Minetor summarized the projects that the bonds would help <br />finance which included the reconstruction of Treatment Plant No. 1 to improve <br />efficiency and to help in manganese removal. He also stated that Treatment Plant Nos. <br />2 and 3, the generator for the booster station, water main improvements, and <br />improvement or removal of Tower No. 2 would be included. <br />
