ounds View City Council May 28, 1991 <br />~gular Meeting Page Three <br />MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Rickaby to adopt the Consent Agenda <br />as presented minus Item 2. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke asked the Council if they would like to discuss Item 2 at this <br />time. Councilmember Wuori stated that the request had been made by the <br />Finance Department regarding this item and all others .that would involve <br />the hiring of personnel. The Finance Department would like to know where <br />the individuals salary would be charged. Councilmember Wuori stated that <br />Tim Bauer would be sewer, Al Miskowiec, water and Dave Mork, Bruce Prebble, <br />Rick Ramacher and Bill Sjulstad would be charged to parks. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Rickaby to approve the hiring of the <br />seasonal employees per Staff Report 91-19C. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br />Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer reviewed the Staff <br />port regarding preventive maintenance of Well #6 using overheads and <br />plained the procedure that had to be taken in addition to normal <br />eventive maintenance to ensure proper operation of the well. City <br />Engineer Minetor asked that $6,000 additional be put in the budget as a <br />minimal amount for baling costs in the future. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked if the wells are inspected before going to <br />bid? <br />City Engineer Minetor assured Councilmember Blanchard that the surface was <br />inspected but in order to inspect the pump it has to be lifted out of the <br />ground. <br />Mayor Linke inquired as to how long it had been since the last inspection <br />of the well? <br />City Engineer Minetor stated it had been since 1982 or 1983, so it was <br />beyond the scheduled 7 years. Minetor stated that for unknown reasons this <br />preventive maintenance didn't get done. This is the last well to be taken <br />care of which is out of sequence for preventive maintenance. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Rickaby/Wuori to increase the authorized amount of <br />this project to $19,000. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />~lic Works Director/City Engineer Minetor reviewed Staff Report No. 91- <br />C regarding the control system for the new water treatment plant and <br />
