This bid would <br />include 6 newsletters - 4 large and 2 small. <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated that she was very happy with the <br />quality of the printing done by Nystrom Publishing and would be <br />glad to make a motion to award the bid to Nystrom Publishing. <br />MOTIONjSECOND: Blanchard/Rickaby to award the 1993 City Newsletter <br />Printing Contract to the Low Bidder, Nystrom Publishing Company, for <br />a Total Cost of $11,142.00 with One-Half the Cost from Fund 100-4190- <br />353-000 and One-Half the Cost from Fund 100-4350-343-000 <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />E. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. <br />92-436C regarding the bids for the new central telephone system. <br />Orduno stated that bids for the new telephone system were opened <br />Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. and because of their complexity and <br />the desire to check all items and references for the companies, <br />Orduno is asking that Council table this item to the December 28, <br />1992 meeting. <br />. MOTIONjSECOND: Quick/Wuori to Table the Item Regarding New <br />Central Telephone System Bids to the December 28,.1992 Council <br />Meeting <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />F. Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, reviewed <br />Staff Report No. 92-437C regarding Conveyance of Tax Forfeited <br />Lands. Minetor explained the background of this parcel of land. <br />Minetor stated that in order to obtain use of the tax forfeited <br />property the City would have to supply the County with a certified City <br />Council resolution stating the purpose for requesting the tax-forfeited <br />property (park) and, stating the reason for purchasing a 10 foot strip <br />of that property. Minetor stated that the City would also have to pay <br />a fee for acquisition of use of deed on the park and pay fee for the <br />acquisition of a to foot strip of property for the previously approved <br />minor subdivision. <br />Minetor reviewed another piece of land by saying that the City had <br />been contacted by residents in the Bronson Drive, Erickson Road area <br />regarding drainage out of and into the Outlot. Minetor stated that <br />their concerns were that a City owned and maintained storm sewer <br />servicing the outlot was not functioning property due to debris <br />clogging the outlet. It was further stated that as a result of the <br />pipe not functioning properly, the outlot's water level has reached an <br />unmanageable level and, in some cases, has caused flooding of adjoining <br />property. Minetor reported that the property was owned by the State of <br />Minnesota via tax-forfeiture and that the City could obtain a use <br />
