The City is <br />purchasing a piece of tax-forfeited land to sell to the heirs of <br />the previous property owner's estate and is requesting that the <br />remaining tax-forfeited property be conveyed to the City for Park <br />purposes. <br />MOTIONLSECOND: Quick/Blanchard to adopt Resolution No. 4320 <br />Authorizing An Application for Conveyance and Purchase of Certain <br />Tax-Forfeited Parcels <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />~. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. <br />92-438C regarding Preliminary Recommendations from the Golf <br />Course Task Force. The Golf Course Task Force held a meeting <br />in October consisting of the consulting architect, City staff <br />and representatives from several municipal golf courses to <br />brainstorm and go over the design, preliminary final analysis, <br />proposal and how the course would play. These representatives <br />urged the City to take the time and spend the money "up front" <br />to thoroughly investigate design configurations and market <br />considerations that could impact the operations of the completed <br />course. <br />Orduno stated that the recommendations from the Golf Course Task <br />Force are to obtain concept drawings from two additional golf <br />course architects as well as update the concept drawing. The <br />Task Force further recommended that an extensive market analysis <br />be completed to determine an accurate and in depth analysis of <br />revenue and expenditures. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Rickaby to Authorize an Expenditure not to <br />Exceed $15,000 for Additional Golf Course Concept Designs and a <br />Golf Course Market Analysis to be Paid Out of the Golf Course <br />Development Fund <br />Orduno explained that the Galf Course Development Fund is comprised <br />of monies obtained from a closed bond fund. The account has an <br />approximate balance of $60,000 in it. <br />
