ounds View City Council <br />~gular Meeting <br />Page Five <br />January 13, 1992 <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reported that she had <br />spoken to Gary Jones, whose term had expired on the Planning <br />Commission, just prior to the Council Meeting, and <br />he wished to decline reappointment to the Commission. <br />Mayor Linke instructed that Jerry Blanchard be added to the <br />Police Commission as Mr. Blanchard desired reappointment. <br />Mr. Jerry Peterson, Planning Commission, and Ms. Pamela <br />Starr, Park and Recreation Commission both indicated they <br />would be interested in being reappointed to their respective <br />commissions. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />7. Mayor Linke explained that the City Charter requires the <br />appointment of a Councilmember as a liaison to each department <br />within the City. This liaison is rotational on a quarterly basis. <br />Mayor Linke read through the proposed 1992 Department Liaison Schedule. <br />• MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Rickaby to approve 1992 Department <br />Liaison Schedule as presented. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />8. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. <br />92-142C regarding Resolution No. 4167 Approving the Establish- <br />ment of an Administrative Policy/Compensation Plan. Orduno <br />explained that the goals of the proposed Compensation Policy <br />is to keep all position classes competitive with their professional <br />status, keep the city competitive in the recruitment and retention <br />of quality employees and to remain in compliance with the State's <br />Pay Equity Law. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Rickaby to adopt Resolution No. 4167 <br />Approving the Establishment of an Administrative Policy/ <br />Compensation Plan. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />9. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. <br />92-143C and Resolution No. 4168 Establishing 1992 Wage Ranges and <br />Insurance Contribution for Non-Union Personnel. Orduno explained that <br />the 1992 Budget provided for a 3~ Annual Compensation Adjustment for <br />non-union employees and a City contribution to family health insurance <br />coverage of $285/month. <br />• <br />
