Mounds View City Council <br />~gular Meeting <br />Page Six <br />January 13, 1992 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Quick to adopt Resolution No. 4168 <br />Establishing Wage Ranges and Insurance Contribution <br />to Non-Union Personnel. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />10. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reported that a settlement <br />had been reached with the Public Works employees with the <br />the provisions of a 2.9~ wage increase, city contribution of <br />$285.00 to dependent health coverage per month and one <br />additional hour of standby pay from 5 to 6 hours during a seven <br />day period. Orduno stated that this settlement allows the City <br />to better comply with the State's Pay Equity Law and is <br />consistent with degree of percentage wage increases in other <br />metro area municipalities. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Rickaby to approve 1992 Labor <br />Agreement with Public Works Department <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />~.. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reported that a settlement <br />had been reached with Teamsters Public and Law Enforcement Local <br />No. 320 with the following provisions of a one year contract from <br />January 1, 1992 to December 31, 1992, wage increase of 2.5$ to <br />base and .05~ lump sum, city contribution to dependent health <br />coverage of $185.00 per month, investigator pay increase from $148 <br />per month to $160 per month, plus 1 hour of straight compensatory <br />time for off duty calls between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 <br />p.m. and an increase of $25.00 to uniform allowance from $450 per <br />year to $475 per year. Orduno stated that this settlement <br />represents a serious attempt to comply with the provisions of the <br />Fay Equity Law. <br />Mayor Linke thanked the Public Works employees and the Police <br />Department employees for keeping the good thoughts of the City <br />in mind in that they negotiated with regards to the City's need to <br />be in compliance with Pay Equity. <br />12. Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer reviewed <br />Staff Report no. 92-146C and Resolution No. 4170 regarding a request to <br />Ramsey County for a SCORE grant and the appointing of Carla Asleson to <br />Recycling Coordinator. Minetor explained this grant was applied <br />for in November to fund recycling promotional and educational <br />activities as well as fund the Recycling Coordinator position <br />for 1992. This SCORE grant was in the amount of $25,729.56. <br />
