ounds View City Council <br />~egular Meeting <br />Page Eleven <br />June 22, 1992 <br />Road in the City of Mounds View is found to be hazardous within the <br />meaning of Minnesota Statutes. Section 463.15, Subdivision 3. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to adopt Resolution 4245 Ordering the <br />Abatement of a Hazardous Condition of Real Estate as amended. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion, Carried <br />8. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Resolution No. 4246 <br />Closing the Legal Defense and Compost Funds and Transferring the <br />Assets of the Fund to the Municipal Golf Course Fund and Resolution <br />No. 4247 Establishing the Municipal Golf Course Fund. Councilmember <br />Wuori in reading the resolutions suggested that the numbers be reversed <br />whereby Resolution No. 4246 become 4247 and vice versa in order to set <br />up the fund before transferring monies to it. <br /> <br />• <br />Councilmember Quick stated that according to the City's recent <br />survey the City has a two to one support ratio from the residents <br />regarding the Golf Course. The residents would like to see the <br />golf course be city owned and operated. The Council has been <br />battering this around for awhile and now it seems to be one <br />step closer to completion. <br />Councilmember Quick brought in a newspaper article which he <br />asked Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, to read for the <br />record. Quick felt that this article would give some support <br />to the Council regarding this item. <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, read aloud the article <br />entitled, Golf Course May Benefit Fort Snelling Repairs, which <br />was published in the Minneapolis Star and Tribune on June 27, <br />1992 in Section iB of the Metro State News, written by Jim <br />Parson, Staff Writer. <br />Councilmember Quick stated that the City Council is always trying to <br />find ways to offset the taxes that the residents are paying. <br />VOTE: Quick/Blanchard to adopt Resolution Nos. 4247 and 4246 <br />Closing the Legal Defense and Compost Funds and Transferring <br />the Assets of the Funds to the Municipal Golf Course Fund and <br />Establishing the Municipal Golf Course Fund, respectively. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke stated that this item be put on the next work <br />session agenda. Mayor Linke stated that it is time to put <br />together a task force for a golf course study. Councilmember <br />Quick volunteered to be on this task force. Mayor Linke stated <br />that he would like to see two Councilmembers, one representative <br />from the Planning Commission, one representative from the <br />
