Dates for <br />performances will be the last weekend in July and first weekend in <br />August. <br />Report of Mayor Linke: <br />1. Mayor Linke moved that the Council adopt a resolution commending the <br />Mounds View High School Girls Basketball Team for their Participation <br />in the State Tournament and Placing Second in this Tournament. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Quick moved that the Council adopt a resolution <br />commending the Irondale Girls Traveling Basketball Team, Sixth Graders <br />on winning State Honors (Councilmember Quick will obtain details and <br />contact staff) <br />• Mayor Linke seconded the motion. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Quick seconded the motion. <br />2. Mayor Linke stated that he is a member of the group that oversees <br />the Community Development Block Grants. Mounds'View had five requests <br />for funding; one from City Hall and four for Park and Recreation. <br />Mounds View received two of the five. The two that were received were <br />for the remodeling of the entrance to City Hall to make it handicapped <br />accessible and the other for Park and Recreation to install handicapped <br />playground equipment at Lambert Park. The total amount of the grants <br />was $65,000. <br />Mayor Linke also stated that Northwest Youth and Family Services also <br />received grant money. <br />Report of Administrator: <br />1. There will be a training workshop for Advisory Boards and Commission <br />members on April 16 from 6:30 to 10:00 to work on mission and value <br />statements and goals. Government Training Services will conduct this <br />• workshop. <br />
