RESOLUTION 7723 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2011 FORD F250 PICKUP <br />WHEREAS, as part of the Public Works Departments maintenance programs, <br />vehicles are a necessity; and <br />WHEREAS, the Surface Water Department has been utilizing the 1998 Chevrolet <br />pickup which was delegated at the time when the Golf Course was dissolved; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has $40,000.00 in the 2011 Surface Water Department <br />budget, 245-4417-7030, to replace the current vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has obtained a quote from Midway Ford under the State of <br />Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture for a 2011 Ford F250 Pickup in the amount <br />of $22,424.49 plus sales taxes and any applicable license fees; and <br />WHEREAS, additionally the vehicle will require a warning light system to be <br />purchased at the cost of $1,528.63 plus sales tax to be installed by Emergency <br />Automotive Technologies; and <br />WHEREAS, additionally the vehicle will require a winch to be installed by Staff <br />and purchased from Grainger at the cost of $1,497.00 plus sales tax; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a 2011 Ford F250 Pickup Truck <br />from Midway Ford at the cost of $22,424.49 plus sales taxes and any <br />applicable license fees. <br />2. The City hereby authorizes the purchase and installation of a warning light <br />system and winch at the combined cost of $3,025.63 plus sales tax. <br />3.
