City Administrator Ericson indicated this has not occurred to date. 4 <br />5 <br />Council Member Stigney suggested the personnel manual be changed to “at will” instead of “just6 <br />cause.” City Administrator Ericson explained the “at will” language would affect 10employees7 <br />at City Hall. This has been discussed with the City Attorney and this change could be madeif8 <br />the Council deemed necessary. He indicated that all other City employee contracts were “just9 <br />cause” and a change would alter the employment environment in the City. 10 <br />11 <br />Mayor Flaherty stated this was a good discussion point that could be further addressed at afuture12 <br />meeting. He requested the Council take action on the resolution submitted this evening. City13 <br />Administrator Ericson indicated this issue could be discussed further at a future worksession14 <br />meeting with the City Attorney. 15 <br />16 <br />Council Member Stigney indicated he was in favor of this suggestion. 17 <br />18 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Stigney.
