Mounds View City Council December 13, 2010 <br />Regular Meeting Page 11 <br />Council Member Stigney questioned what fund would cover the mailing expense of theMounds1 <br />View Matters. City Administrator Ericson stated the general fund would cover thisexpense2 <br />unless a grant was approved. He indicated the City hoped to reduce the printing costs inthe3 <br />coming months while increasing revenues through ads. 4 <br />5 <br />Council Member Stigney suggested the City further investigate the option of emailingthe6 <br />newsletter to the City’s residents to further assist with printing and postage expenses. Finance7 <br />Director Beer indicated this would require a charter amendment but may become the trend. 8 <br />9 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7714, 10 <br />Approving Direct Mailing of Mounds View Matters. 11 <br />12 <br />Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 13 <br />14 <br />D. Resolution 7712, Authorizing a Garbage Contract for City Buildings. 15 <br />16 <br />Council Member Gunn asked staff for the cost of the current and proposed garbage bills. 17 <br />Finance Director Beer indicated the current monthly expense was $1,025. The new bill, asof18 <br />February 2011, would be $932 per month. 19 <br />20 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Stigney.
