Code Enforcement Officer Anderson stated this was the set rate and included two software updates <br /> per year. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned the age of the Feedback Manager program. Code Enforcement Officer Anderson explained the program was 10 years old and the apps were introduced in 2009. City <br /> Administrator Ericson stated it was his opinion the $2,400 expense was a good value considering the cost of hiring another staff person to assist with code enforcement issues. He indicated <br /> the Council could evaluate the use of the program and app after the first year, and the City could choose not to renew the software contract at that time. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller commented that technology was continuing to evolve and with this, the City had to continue to evolve to increase the communication needs of the City. She was <br /> proud that Mounds View was on the forefront on this issue and the assistance it would provide to the City with code enforcement issues. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7952, Authorizing the Implementation of the “Citizen Mobile Access” Application to Integrate with the Comcate Code <br /> Enforcement Manager (CEM) Software. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney indicated the expense for this app and software was not going to benefit all of the residents because not all residents had a Smartphone. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty stated he would support the purchase as there was funds within the 2012 budget to cover the expense and the Council could evaluate its success in one year. He explained <br /> that Smartphones would continue to become more and more popular as time went on and the technology improved. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1 (Stigney) Motion carried. <br /> <br /> L. Resolution 7932, Adopting a Calendar for the Preparation of the 2013 Budget. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer reviewed the proposed calendar for the preparation of the 2013 budget. He noted June 4th would be the date the Council would provide Staff with priorities for <br /> the upcoming year. The budget had to be submitted to the County by September 15th. On November 12th the Council would set the utility rates and other City fees. He explained that <br /> on December 3rd the City would hold the Truth and Taxation Hearing with the 2013 budget approved on or around December 10th. Staff recommended the Council adopt the calendar for the <br /> preparation of the 2013 budget. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7932, Adopting a Calendar for the Preparation of the 2013 Budget. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
