Staff recommended approval of the intoxicating liquor <br /> license pending receipt of a satisfactory fire report and criminal background check. If approved, the liquor license would be in effect from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty continued the public hearing. <br /> <br />Jeff Moritko, owner of Moe’s, requested clarification on how many ceiling tiles were in need of replacement. He stated he would make the necessary improvements after Staff provided <br /> this clarification. Mr. Moritko thanked the Council for their support over the last several years and then discussed a list of events planned at his establishment. He noted a Rick <br /> Criittendon, Sr. Memorial Ride, would be ending their ride at Moe’s on Saturday, June 16th. <br /> <br />Hearing no further public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:09 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7938, Consider Approval of an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Moe’s located at 2400 County Highway 10 <br /> contingent upon the receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check and fire report. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty was pleased with the fact the Memorial Ride would be hosted by Moe’s. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />Continued Public Hearing, Resolution 7940, Consider Approval of an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for El Loro located at 2535 County Highway 10. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated this was a continued public hearing from the May 14th Council meeting for El Loro’s on sale intoxicating liquor license. Proper notice was <br /> sent out by the City to surrounding properties within 300 feet of El Loro’s and was published in the City’s official newspaper. She indicated property taxes were current, along with <br /> all City utilities and the Mounds View Police and Fire Department issued a satisfactory report. The City received a satisfactory criminal background check from the Minnesota Bureau <br /> of Apprehension. Staff recommended approval of the on sale intoxicating liquor license. If approved, the liquor license would be in effect from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty continued the public hearing. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn.
