Mounds View City Council November 13, 2012 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br />Police Chief Kinney provided comment on the "Towards Zero Deaths" campaign. He indicated <br />the City received a grant to assist with these efforts to ensure motorists are driving safe and sober <br />through Mounds View. <br />Police Chief Kinney stated there were 35 events schedule for National Night Out and Officer <br />Niko made as many stops as possible. He indicated Niko was also able to put on an event at this <br />year's Festival in the Park. <br />Council Member Hull asked how the new Interceptor was working for the officers. Police Chief <br />Kinney indicated the reports were good on the vehicle and the officers were adjusting to the <br />interior. He looked forward to seeing how these vehicles worked this winter. <br />Acting Mayor Mueller explained a committee was being formed to assist in raising funds for the <br />City's K-9 unit. She noted a City-wide Tupperware party would be held in January. <br />Acting Mayor Mueller questioned if this 3rd quarter report would be available to the public. <br />Police Chief Kinney indicated he would have this information available on the City's website. <br />City Administrator Ericson stated he would be attending the League of Minnesota Cities meeting <br />on November 14th. He stated on Saturday, November 17, 2012 there would be an Open House at <br />Lambert Park at 10:00 a.m. He encouraged all to attend as the event will showcase the new <br />amenities available at the park. <br />C.
