City Attorney Riggs indicated it was not inappropriate for Council to request to see the other <br />applications. <br />Council Member Marty stated he would like to see the other applications. <br />Council Member Thomas asked if it would be possible to get copies made during the evening <br />and vote on the matter later in the meeting. <br />Council Member Stigney stated he would like to see the same procedure going forward. <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated the City would need to amend the ordinance. <br />Council Member Marty asked that the change to the ordinance be brought to a work session for <br />discussion. <br />Council Member Thomas stated she did not see the need to amend the ordinance. <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated that the Code would supersede any motion made by Council. <br />Council Member Quick asked if Council would deal with this individual tonight without seeing <br />the other applications and direct staff to deal with the ordinance amendment. <br />It was the consent of Council to require the Mayor to provide copies of the other applications <br />before voting on the recommendation. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 1 (Sonterre) Motion carried. <br />Mayor Sonterre asked Assistant to the City Administrator Reed to obtain copies of the other <br />applications before the end of the meeting noting the matter would be heard as Council Business <br />Item lOF. <br />Chief Clark indicated that the dollar amount needed for the purchase of the firearms was <br />$9,480.00. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Thomas. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5564, a <br />Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Firearms. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />10. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearing for the Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 679, an <br />Ordinance Amending Chapter 1008 of the Mounds View Municipal Code <br />Entitled "Signs and Billboards". <br />
