Item No: 8G <br /> Meeting Date: February 10, 2025 <br /> MUL-DS N VIEW Type of Business: CB <br /> — Administrator Review: <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From: Don Peterson, Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br /> Item Title/Subject: Resolution 10059, Approving the Cost Proposal for the Granite <br /> Feature Pieces for the Tribute Park <br /> Background/Discussion: <br /> The City Council Approved Concept 5 for the Tribute Park at the January 13, 2024, City <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Staff informed the contractor, Create a Legacy, that Council approved Concept 5 of the <br /> Tribute Park Plans and that a soft opening day was set for September 13, 2025. <br /> The Contractor indicated the granite for the park is approximately 4 months out and <br /> should be ordered now ensuring delivery of the product, which will allow time for any <br /> engraving needs, to meet the opening date. <br /> Staff received the cost proposal from Create a Legacy of $65,765.00 for the granite <br /> features of the Tribute Park. <br /> Strategic Plan: Maintain good infrastructure that is walkable and attractive, safe and <br /> affordable. <br /> Financial Impact: No Financial Impact to the 2025 Budget. Item is in the 2025 Special <br /> Projects budget for$258,160.00, 480-4360-7050 (no specific funding source is allocated). <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Staff recommends the Council approve the attached resolution regarding the cost <br /> proposal of the granite features for the Tribute Park in the amount of$65,765.00.
