Exhibit A <br /> Movlvns VIEW <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> Job Title: Assistant Summer Program Coordinator <br /> Grade: 1 <br /> Supervisor Title: Parks and Recreation Superintendent <br /> Department: Parks and Recreation <br /> FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Seasonal <br /> Date Reviewed: 2/7/2024 <br /> Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience: <br /> ➢ Be at least 18 years of age. <br /> ➢ High School Diploma or GED. <br /> ➢ One (1)year of experience working with people with disabilities, especially children, as a staff or volunteer. <br /> ➢ Completed two years of college course work in Parks and Recreation, Physical Education, Education, or <br /> related field. <br /> ➢ Two (2)years of experience working in Parks and Recreation, summer camps, physical education, or <br /> community education. <br /> ➢ Has the desire to work with the public. <br /> ➢ Be available to work a part-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. <br /> Nature of Work: <br /> This position is responsible for co-leading the Explore More Summer Camp Program.The incumbent assists the <br /> Recreation Coordinator and Summer Program Coordinator with planning, leading, evaluating, and carrying out <br /> the day-to-day operation of the program as well as providing work direction for summer program staff. <br /> Communicates with: <br /> Internally—Parks and Recreation staff. <br /> Externally—General public. <br /> Supervision: <br /> None <br /> Essential Work Functions: <br /> • Assists the Recreation Coordinator and Summer Program Coordinator with planning, supervising, and <br /> implementation of the program, program activities, and program curriculum. <br /> • Assists in the promotion of the program including calendars, newsletters, and other forms of communication with <br /> parents/guardians and the community. <br /> • Provides work direction to program staff and Leaders in Training. <br /> • Assists the Recreation Coordinator and Summer Program Coordinator with staff supervision and training <br /> • Assists with scheduling and assigning staff. <br /> • Maintains inventory, orders, and distributes equipment, supplies and materials. <br /> • Maintains accurate records and statistics. <br /> • Coordinates summer staff meetings as required. <br /> • Distributes timesheets and other pertinent correspondence to summer staff as needed. <br /> • Continuously evaluates the program and recommends needed changes to the Recreation Coordinator. <br /> • Ensures that the site is kept clean and organized. <br /> • Ensures excellent communication with parents/guardians. <br />
