Mounds View City Council February 10, 2025 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Vince Meyer, 8380 Spring Lake Road, reported he would get the school to donate a chicken coop <br /> 3 for the Engelmann family. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Luke Edmond, 8407 Spring Lake Road, asked if residents could breed rabbits. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 City Administrator Zikmund explained he does not believe City Code speaks to rabbit breeding. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 10 A. PUBLIC HEARING: Resolution 10048,Approving Chicken-Keeping License <br /> 11 for Patrick Engelmann, 8400 Greenwood Drive. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council consider a chicken-keeping license for Patrick <br /> 14 Engelmann at 8400 Greenwood Drive. Staff noted all necessary paperwork has been submitted to <br /> 15 the City and staff recommended approval. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:07 p.m. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Patrick Engelmann, 8400 Greenwood Drive, explained he would like to keep four chickens. He <br /> 20 thanked the Council for considering his request. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Hearing no further public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:08 p.m. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10048, <br /> 25 Approving Chicken-Keeping License for Patrick Engelmann, 8400 Greenwood Drive. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Ayes—4 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 B. PUBLIC HEARING: Introduction and First of Ordinance 1023, Vacating a <br /> 30 Sidewalk Easement on the Properties at 2118 Terrace Drive, 2126 Terrace <br /> 31 Drive, 2119 Pinewood Drive, and 2127 Pinewood Drive. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 This item was removed from the agenda. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 C. Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 1024, Amending the Mounds <br /> 36 View City Code by Deleting all Sections Referencing the Mounds View <br /> 37 Economic Development Commission. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 City Administrator Zikmund explained this was the second time the Council had reviewed this <br /> 40 Ordinance. He reviewed the proposed changes to City Code, noting the Council had opted to <br /> 41 disband the EDC and the proposed code amendments would reflect this change. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br /> 44 1024, Amending the Mounds View City Code by Deleting all Sections Referencing the Mounds <br /> 45 View Economic Development Commission and direct staff to publish an Ordinance summary. <br /> 46 <br />
