Mounds View City Council March 25, 2002 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br />• MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Quick. To Approve Consent Agenda Item H as Presented. <br />Council Member Marty asked whether Officer Brose would be paying for his own meals. He <br />then commented that the $608 included the cost of the convention and transportation. <br />Deputy Chief Brennan indicated that the figure was an estimate and noted the airfare and hotel <br />prices may improve. <br />Council Member Marty said he thinks this is an excellent price in comparison to the National <br />League of Cities and he is in favor of it. <br />Deputy Chief Brennan indicated that Las Vegas as the destination has helped lower the costs. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Council Member Stigney requested that Item E be removed for discussion. <br />STIGNEY/QUICK. To Approve Consent Agenda Item E as Presented. <br />Council Member Stigney indicated he would like to change the Resolution to leave up to the <br />discretion of Staff whether or not there is value in trading in the old cart or if it should be kept. <br />• Council amended the Resolution to allow Staff to use its discretion concerning trading in the old <br />cart. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Quick. To Approve Consent Agenda Items B, C, D, F, G, I, J, K, <br />and L as Presented. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />7. CLOSED SESSION <br />A. To Discuss Labor Negotiations <br />B. To Discuss Threatened/Potential Litigation <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated that Council would be going into closed session to discuss labor <br />negotiations and then pending litigation issues. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Thomas/Quick. To Recess to Closed Session to Discuss Labor <br />Negotiations. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />
