Mounds View City Council February 24, 2003 Regular Meeting Page 4 U Council Member Stigney said he feels that employees should pay for their own coffee and he would like to look into Council Member Marty's suggestion of a coffee machine. Council Member Stigney asked whether Check Number 110312 for the Minnesota Golf Association Membership was a membership for the course or individual. Golf Course Manager Burg indicated it was a course membership. Council Member Stigney asked whether Checks 110355 and 110356 for the United States Golf Association was an individual or course membership. Golf Course Manager Burg indicated that it was a course membership and she understands that to have PGA pros the course needed to belong to the USGA. Council Member Stigney asked whether the pros are paying their own membership. Golf Course Manager Burg said she would assume that the City pays for Ken's membership as he is the only pro. Council Member Stigney said he has concerns with the City paying for the membership as there are advantages to the individual. Council Member Stigney asked what the VGM golf memberships were for. Golf Course Manager Burg indicated it is a buying organization for golf courses and, if the City does not save its membership fee over the year, it would be returned. Council Member Stigney asked why the City was invoiced for $3,099 for attorney's fees on the billboard at the golf course. Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated that the City is invoiced and then the City invoices the other party. MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Approve Just and Correct Claims as Presented.
