To Stay in the Consortium. <br />6 <br />7 Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />8 <br />9 Director Ericson indicated that the Planning Commission discussed the pawnshop ordinance as <br />1o was requested but has asked that additional uses be left out of the discussion and have asked for <br />11 further clarification from the City Attorney as to how small the overlay district can be because <br />12 they felt that the proposed overlay districts were too large. <br />13 <br />14 Director Ericson indicated that Staff is working with the City Attorney to provide' answers to <br />15 those questions for discussion at the next Planning Commission meeting. <br />16 <br />17 Mayor Linke indicated the other issue is how small is too small for spot zoning. <br />18 <br />19 Director Ericson indicated that this issue is before the Commission at the second ,meeting in <br />20 August with a recommendation to Council in September. <br />21 <br />~2 City Attorney Vose had no report. <br />23 <br />24 Council Member Marty asked whether the Visitors and Convention Bureau had provided the <br />25 donation to the City for last year. <br />26 <br />27 Council Member Gunn indicated that they received it. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Marty asked for clarification as to whether the money was to be used for <br />3o promotion and advertising. <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Gunn indicated that it was. <br />33 <br />34 Council Member Marty asked when the City expects to receive the donation this year. <br />35 <br />36 Director Ericson indicated that he was not sure but reminded Council that there was,an issue of <br />37 the Festival in the Park Committee receiving the donation and not the City and it was Ito be a City <br />3 8 donation. <br />39 <br />4o Council discussed the donation briefly and indicated that Council would discuss it further when <br />41 the donation is received. <br />42 <br />3 Council Member Marry asked whether people were joining in the parade with their pets as he had <br />~4 heard. <br />45 <br />
