To Approve the Monday, August 25, 2003 Agenda as <br />3 Presented. <br />24 <br />25 Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />26 <br />27 5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />28 <br />29 Tom Field of 8409 Knollwood Drive addressed Council and indicated that the manhole in his <br />3o front yard was buried because the former Public Works Director deemed it unnecessary and there <br />31 were issues with plowing but now there is talk of digging it up and making it functional for sewer <br />32 maintenance and he would like Council to consider leaving it as it is because he does not want it <br />33 in his front yard. <br />34 <br />35 Mayor Linke suggested that Mr. Field meet with Public Works Director Lee to discuss the <br />36 matter. <br />37 <br />38 Council Member Quick indicated he would like Public Works Director Lee to address the <br />39 Council on the issue. <br />40 <br />41 Public Works Director Lee indicated that as part of the NPDES permit the City has to clean the <br />42 storm sewer system and the only way to access some areas is to go through the manholes and as <br />43 part of the program Staff is finding that several are buried and they will need to be brought up to <br />~4 grade for future use. <br />45 <br />
