To Approve the City Council Minutes for August 11, 2003 <br />6 as Amended. <br />7 <br />8 Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />9 <br />10 11. REPORTS <br />11 <br />12 A. Reports of Mayor and Council <br />13 <br />14 Council Member Quick had no report. <br />15 <br />16 Council Member Marty asked Public Works Director Lee for an update on the County Road H2 <br />17 construction. <br />18 <br />19 Public Works Director Lee indicated that he had contacted the contractor to get a schedule to see <br />20 how soon they could start and explained that there were some issues with the watershed district <br />21 concerning the grant for the infiltration devices under the pond. He then indicated it is the intent <br />~2 to move forward with the project and continue working with the watershed district on the issues. <br />23 <br />24 Council Member Marty asked whether there is a watering ban right now. <br />25 <br />26 Public Works Director Lee indicated that the City is on an odd even schedule. He then explained <br />27 that on one day the reservoir was very low so public works went around and asked people not to <br />28 water on that day. <br />29 <br />30 Mayor Linke suggested looking at an administrative offense to enforce the watering ban. <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Quick asked if there were hours of the day when you can sprinkle. <br />33 <br />34 Public Works Director Lee indicated the hours are not restricted. He then volunteered to look at <br />35 ways of enforcing the odd even watering ban. <br />36 <br />37 Council Member Stigney suggested notifying residents of the odd even requirement rather than <br />38 jumping to an offense right away. He then suggested putting information on the water bill. <br />39 <br />4o Council Member Marty thanked those that participated in the festival in the park and said there <br />41 were more employees participating this year than ever before. He then thanked the City <br />42 Administrator for playing in the golf tournament. <br />43 <br />•4 Council Member Gunn thanked everyone for attending the festival and gave an overview of the <br />45 events and said they were all very successful and will be even better next year.
