Resolution 6081, a Resolution Authorizing Insurance Policies for the Year <br />July 2003 through June 2004. <br />Finance Director Hansen reviewed the insurance policy renewals with Council indicating that the <br />premiums rose substantially this year as a relatively low claims year dropped off and a higher <br />claim year was added. He then indicated that despite the increase Staff recommends renewal <br />with the League of Minnesota Cities as any profit is returned to the City in terms of dividends. <br />Council Member Stigney asked what the liquor. liability coverage is for. <br />Finance Director Hansen indicated it was for the sale of beer at the golf course. <br />Council Member Stigney asked if that is accounted for by the golf course. <br />Mayor Linke asked what protection the open meeting law coverage provides and whether <br />Council Members are individually covered. <br />Finance Director Hansen indicated that it provides for defense of the City in the event that <br />someone alleged a violation of the open meeting law but he is not sure whether or not it would <br />provide protection to individual Council Members. He then offered to review the policy and <br />provide a report to Council <br />MOTION/SECOND: Many/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6081, a <br />Resolution Authorizing Insurance Policies for the Year July 2003 through June 2004. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />G. Resolution 6082, a Resolution Setting an Interest Rate and Administrative <br />Fee for Special Assessments Certified During 2003. <br />Finance Director Hansen indicated that the City would be doing a number of special assessment <br />levies this fall and he feels it would be most fair to set certain factors for all assessments. The <br />first is to set an interest rate and the second is a one time administrative fee for each parcel <br />included in the levy. He then recommended setting the interest rate at 4.5% and an <br />administrative fee of $25.00. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6082, a <br />Resolution Setting an Interest Rate and Administrative Fee for Special Assessments Certified <br />During 2003. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />10.
