Mounds View City Council October 27, 2003
Regular Meeting Page 5
~1
2 C. Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 6121, a Resolution Approving a
3 Conditional Use Permit for an Oversized Garage at 7850 Spring Lake Road
4
5 Mayor Linke opened the public hearing at 7:33 p.m.
6
7 Community Development Director Ericson indicated that this item is a request for a conditional
8 use permit for an oversized garage located at 7850 Spring Lake Road. He then indicated that
9 Staff and the Planning Commission have reviewed the request and find that all requirements have
1 o been met and recommend approval.
11
12 Community Development Director Ericson indicated that the only stipulation on the approval is
13 that the garage cannot be used for a commercial purpose, living quarters or any other use that is
14 not allowed in an R-1 District and the building should maintain a similar appearance. He then
15 said that Staff received no feedback regarding the request for this hearing or for the Planning
16 Commission hearing.
17
18 Council Member Marry commented that the lot extends 200 feet into the lake and that limits the
19 amount of usable property.
20
21 Community Development Director Ericson indicated that the lots on Spring Lake are platted
~2 through the lake and the City's Code does not require that Staff use useable land when making
23 calculations.
24
25 Mayor Linke closed the public hearing at 7:41 p.m.
26
27 MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Marty.
