Resolution 6178, a Resolution Authorizing the Submittal of a Request for <br />Proposal for Work Associated with the Implementation of the County Road <br />10 Redevelopment and Revitalization Plan. <br />Council Member Stigney indicated that he has issues with this plan and he would like to discuss <br />it at a work session before going forward. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Linke. To Postpone to the Next Work Session. <br />Ayes - 4 <br />Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />9. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearing, First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 725 Amending <br />the Zoning Code Establishing an Administrative Variance Approval Process. <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing at 7:40 p.m. <br />Planner Prososki explained that this amendment would allow for an administrative variance <br />process. She then explained what the process would be. <br />Council Member Marty requested that the Planning Commission briefly review each case so that <br />they are aware. <br />David Jahnke of 8428 Eastwood Road expressed concern that this would be an ordinance to go <br />around or bypass the Planning Commission. <br />Mayor Linke indicated that it would allow the process to go more quickly on very minor variance <br />requests. <br />Mr. Jahnke expressed concern that something minor may turn into something major and then <br />asked what the guidelines were and where the information could be found. <br />Mayor Linke indicated that the request must be within 25% of a required setback and explained <br />that the information was in the public book. <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that this was published in the newspaper <br />10 days in advance of this meeting and the information is available on the Internet. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing at 7:45 p.m. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Waive the Reading, Introduce the First Reading and <br />Approve Ordinance 725, an Ordinance Amending the Zoning Code Establishing an <br />Administrative Variance Approval Process. <br />
