To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6173, a <br />4 Resolution Authorizing the Replacement of the Police Department's Automatic External <br />5 Defibrillators Utilizing Grant Funds, Grant Matching Funds and Forfeiture Funds. <br />6 <br />7 Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />8 <br />9 I. Resolution 6168, a Resolution Approving an Area Identification Sign for <br />1o Scotland Green Apartments. <br />11 <br />12 Council Member Marry commented that Scotland Green has been paying taxes at the <br />13 condominium rate and not the rate of an apartment. <br />14 <br />15 Planner Prososki indicated she has not spoken with other Staff but she spoke to Ramsey County <br />16 and was told that they are paying the same amount regardless of the designation because the <br />17 difference comes into play with homestead or non-homestead. She then agreed to look into it <br />18 further. <br />19 <br />20 Council Member Marty commented that signage is over City requirements. <br />21 <br />22 MOTION/SECOND: Marty. To Postpone. <br />• 23 <br />24 The Motion failed for lack of a second. <br />25 <br />26 Mayor Linke agreed that something needs to be done but he does not feel it is right to hold this <br />27 up. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Many commented that the sign could not be installed until the ground thaws. <br />30 <br />31 Council Member Gunn indicated the Resolution does not state which type of sign. <br />32 <br />33 Planner Prososki indicated that the applicant said that the sign could be determined by Council <br />34 but they prefer Option B, the four-sided sign. <br />35 <br />36 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mariy. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6168, a <br />37 Resolution Approving an Area Identification Sign for Scotland Green Apartments. <br />38 <br />39 Council Member Marty indicated he had no issue with the sign but he would like to have the <br />4o condominium and apartment tax rate straightened out. <br />41 <br />42 Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />43 <br />r~ <br />L J <br />
