Resolution 6342 Approving the Appointment of Tom Kinney to Deputy Police Chief. • Chief Sommer stated the Police Civil Service Commission process had been invoked for this position, which resulted in the Civil Service certifying the top three candidates. He stated the top candidate is Tom Kinney, and Staff recommends that he be appointed to the position of Deputy Police Chief. MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Marty. To approve Resolution 6342 Approving the Appointment of Tom Kinney to Deputy Police Chief. Council Member Stigney asked if there was a previous resolution authorizing the City to fill this position, and Mayor Linke stated that there was. Council Member Stigney stated he thought this position should be left and an additional sergeant should be gotten. Ayes-3 N. Resolution 6346 Jodi Salmonson Step Increase.
