Resolution 6342 Approving the Appointment of Tom Kinney to Deputy Police Chief. <br />• <br />Chief Sommer stated the Police Civil Service Commission process had been invoked for this <br />position, which resulted in the Civil Service certifying the top three candidates. He stated the <br />top candidate is Tom Kinney, and Staff recommends that he be appointed to the position of <br />Deputy Police Chief. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Marty. To approve Resolution 6342 Approving the Appointment <br />of Tom Kinney to Deputy Police Chief. <br />Council Member Stigney asked if there was a previous resolution authorizing the City to fill this <br />position, and Mayor Linke stated that there was. <br />Council Member Stigney stated he thought this position should be left and an additional sergeant <br />should be gotten. <br />Ayes-3 <br />N.
