Mounds View City Council September 13, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 12 <br />• Mayor Linke cited three cases were the city had been sued for injuries, and he stated that he <br />would be against adding this coverage because he didn't think it was worth it. <br />Council Member Stigney stated he agreed with the Mayor and felt it may cause their insurance <br />costs to escalate because of claims. <br />Finance Director Hansen stated that the City is already covered if they are liable for the injury. <br />MOTION/SECOND. To approve the first version of Resolution 6344 <br />Authorizing Insurance Policies for the Year July 2004 through June 2005. <br />Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />R Resolution 6350 Approving Change Order No. 1 for the Hidden Hollow Street and <br />Utility Installation Project -Removal of the Mounds View Manufactured Home <br />Community Second Access Project. <br />Mayor Linke stated it was his understanding they are removing this because of prevailing wage <br />considerations. <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that that was correct, and that verbiage needed to be added to <br />the documents in order for the City to be eligible for the Community Development Block Grant, <br />• and since that wasn't included in there, Change Order No. 1 would separate the two projects, and = <br />they would need to get a bid for the Mounds View Manufactured Home Park second access, <br />which is Item lOS. <br />MOTION/SECOND. To approve Resolution 6350 Approving a Change Order <br />No. 1 for the Hidden Hollow Street and Utility Installation Project -Removal of the <br />Mounds View Manufactured Home Community Second Access Project. <br />Council Member Stigney asked if this was with Red Stone Construction, and Public Works <br />Director Lee stated that it is. <br />Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />S. Resolution 6351 Awarding a Construction Contract for the Mounds View Manufactured <br />Home Community Second Access Project. <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that four quotes had been received, and the low bid was from <br />Hard Drives in the amount of $47,075.25. He stated that this is about $5,300 higher than what <br />the original quote was, but that was as a result of prevailing wages. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Gunn. To approve Resolution 6351 Awarding a Construction <br />• Contract for the Mounds View Manufactured Home Community Second Access Project to <br />Hard Drives for $47,075.25. <br />
