Mounds View City Council February 14, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 16 <br />• Mayor Marty changed page 1, line 16 to reflect the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Cub Scout <br />Pack 367, Den 5. <br />Mayor Marty changed page 12, line 45, to state Mary Burg rather than just Mary. <br />Mayor Marty changed page 14, line 3, to state, "retired before this last option was available." <br />Mayor Marty changed page 16, line 5, to change the word "spoke" to "spoken". <br />Mayor Marty changed page 19, line 12, to change the word "Doughtnut" to "Donut". It should <br />also be changed to Donut on page 18, line 38. <br />Council Member Thomas asked to abstain on both sets of Minutes. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Stigney. To approve the Minutes of January 24, 2005 as amended. <br />Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />B. January 31, 2005 Special City Council Meeting Minutes. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gurm/Flaherty. To approve the January 31, 2005 Minutes as presented. <br />Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />• 11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />None. <br />B. Reports of Staff <br />1. Police Department 2004 4tn Quarter Report <br />Chief Sommer stated that during the 4th Quarter they had arrested 176 adults and 12 juveniles, <br />and they had issued approximately 500 citations for traffic type offenses. He stated that 243 <br />cases had been assigned for investigation. He stated they had responded to 1,706 calls for <br />service. He stated he had provided the Council with an update on the 800 megahertz public <br />communication system. He updated the Council on some of the more unusual calls they had <br />dealt with during the quarter. <br />Council Member Gunn asked Chief Sommer to compliment his department on the excellent job <br />that they do in the community. <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that negotiations are continuing with Medtronics. He <br />• stated that there are two items of legislation currently moving through the state on behalf of that <br />project. <br />
