Mounds View City Council February 14, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 15 <br />• Mr. Benkey stated that New Brighton had adopted a resolution of support on February 8~", and <br />they are scheduled for Blaine on the 17~', Circle Pines on the 22°d, and Lexington on March 3ra <br />He stated they are in discussions with Arden Hills, Shoreview, Lino Lakes, and the two County <br />Boards. <br />Mayor Marty stated that at the top of the page under Mounds View, he has 2000 jobs listed. He <br />stated he had been told it's 3000. <br />Mr. Benkey stated that he had been working with various city staffs to pull the numbers together, <br />and if 3000 was the correct number for Mounds View, he would amend the memo. <br />Mayor Marty stated that would be for the first phase, and then it would be 6000 plus. He stated <br />that it says $120 million in tax base compared to the current taxable value of zero. <br />Finance Director Hansen stated that he assumes that must includes phase one and phase two <br />because phase one isn't that big. <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that was calculated based on 1.5 million square feet at <br />$80 a square foot. He stated that would be the assessed value of the construction after <br />completion. <br />Mayor Marty stated that he totally supports this, and he couldn't imagine that the other cities <br />• wouldn't also come on board. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Thomas. To approve Resolution 6457 in support of I-35W <br />Coalition Request for Funding to Study the I-694 to CRJ Segment of I-35W and Other Area <br />Transportation Improvements. <br />Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. January 24, 2005, City Council Meeting Minutes. <br />Council Member Gunn made a correction to page 2, first line, to add the word "grocery" before <br />store. <br />Council Member Gunn made a correction to page 2, line 8, to change the word "from" to "for" <br />before "...for the City and Public Works." <br />Council Member Gunn stated that Marla Monnepenny's name was correctly spelled at page 2, <br />line 37, but misspelled on page 3, lines 4 and 12. <br />• Council Member Gunn stated that on page 12,1ine 19, one "had" should be removed. <br />
