Mounds View City Council May 9, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br />• <br />Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />9. COUNCIL BUSINESS. <br />A. Resolution 6512 Approving Fire Vehicle Plans and Specifications and <br />Resolution 6523 Authorizing Solicitation of Bids for two Fire <br />Engines/Pumpers. <br />C1 <br />Mayor Marty stated that he would be willing to approve this item with the stipulation that if they <br />decide to cut back and scale down that this would be included and that it states that the City's <br />support would not exceed $350,000. The City would concur with an amount less than $350,000. <br />Fire Chief assured Council that the bids would be reviewed by all three City Councils before <br />final approval. He explained that the specs include a number of optional items and. assured <br />Council that he plans to review the specs and flush out items that are not to be included. He <br />stated that he would come back to Council for further consideration once all bids have been <br />received. <br />Mayor Marty referenced his conversations with Mr. Ryan, the Mayor of Blaine stating that I <br />understood his concerns regarding the number of trips that could occur between the Cities. He <br />stated that a vehicle of this type would be a Godsend to coordinate potential emergency <br />scenarios. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Joe. To Approve Resolution 6512 Approving Fire Vehicle Plans <br />and Specif cations and Resolution 6523 Authorizing Solicitation of Bids for Two Fire <br />Engines/Pumpers. <br />Ayes-5 Nays-0 <br />Motion carried. <br />Council Member Stigney asked for clarification on what a double din is and what they mean by <br />high power. <br />Fire Chief explained that they took the specs from the industry standard and provided a draft <br />illustration to show what could go into the vehicle. He stated that he would review the document <br />and clarify further in the final draft for their approval. He stated that he is currently working to <br />acquire information on the fire equipment including warranty and maintenance issues. He stated <br />that he would put together the information and provide for their review. <br />MOTION/SECOND Marty/Gunn To Approve Resolution 6523 Authorization to Develop <br />Final Specifications and Issuing Bids for One Command Vehicle for the SBM Fire Department. <br />Ayes -5 Nays-0 <br />Motion carried. <br />• B. 7:05 p.m. Public Hearing to Consider a Conditional Use Permit to Add Two <br />Additional Dwelling Units to a Multifamily Residential Building at 2071 <br />
