He asked
that the motion be postponed until the next City Council meeting.
Mayor Marty opened the public hearing at 7:43 p.m.
Brian Amundsen, 3048 Wooddale Drive, clarified his understanding and asked if the City has a
drawing of the area that would be re-designated? He noted that a portion of the area is supposed
to include trails noting that he is curious as to whether the re-designation is for the entire golf
course space or just part of it.
Director Ericson explained that the area is partly designated OSP and SRO and reviewed the
areas with the Council. He stated that the changes would make the areas consistent with the land
uses to the north and northeast with the Sysco development.
Duane McCarty, 8060 Long Lake Road, asked what the Planning Commission is recommending
for this area.
Director Ericson stated that the Planning Commission held a public hearing and unanimously
recommended OFC.
Barbara Haake, 3420 County Road I, referenced Statue 462.355 noting that it states that a
governing body may, by resolution, adopt the proposed amendment and asked City Attorney
Riggs if he felt they would have atwo-thirds vote to adopt next Monday.
City Attorney Riggs stated he does not know.
