September 12, 2005 City Council Meeting Minutes <br />The following corrections were requested: <br />Page 23, Lines 39 and 41, correct the name to: "Sebesta" <br />Mayor Marty asked staff to check the video tape to verify his statement on Page 5, Lines 29 and <br />30. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Marry. To Approve the September 12, 2005 City Council <br />meeting minutes as corrected above. <br />Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />11. REPORTS <br />C. Reports of Mayor and Council <br />Councilmember Flaherty stated residents really pitched in to help each other out after the <br />Wednesday night storm. He stated it did his heart good to see the community come together and <br />• he applauds residents for helping each other. <br />Councilmember Stigney stated during the last meeting the Mayor stated it was a fact that <br />residents were giving golf course staff a hard time and followed a beverage cart employee home. <br />At the meeting, he had questioned if Mayor Marty had personal knowledge and cautioned that <br />Mayor Marty should not be discussing it. Councilmember Stigney stated there was an <br />investigation and determined it was not factual, unsubstantiated, and unfounded. He cautioned <br />the Mayor about making such comments that are not factual. <br />Mayor Marry stated he talked to the golf course employees too and there was some <br />miscommunication. <br />Councilmember Stigney stated there was no substantiation and in the future he would <br />recommend the Mayor contact the Police Chief for documentation. <br />Mayor Marty commended all the citizens for their response after the storm and stated Staff went <br />above and beyond, as did neighbors and friends. He thanked everyone for pitching in and noted <br />that residents are still helping. <br />Mayor Marty stated that hauling of branches up to eight feet will start tomorrow. He noted the <br />information is on the web site and if residents don't want to wait, they can haul it to the storm <br />debris dump site in New Brighton. <br />
